It was a lot of fun designing this VW Caddy conversion for our customer who was looking for a solution for one person. Our brief was to provide basic features providing it included a portable fridge, microwave, sink, off-grid facility, and an inside toilet, accessible from the outside for ease of cleaning.  The customer asked for a modern finish with colours in the grey.

This design proved challenging as the rear size of the VW Caddy is limiting making it challenging to get the length of the single bed in place whilst retaining as much storage space as possible. After several revisions, our design was able to provide everything and a little more of what the customer wanted.

Solar panels and antenna worked on the roof, and we were able to install very modern and efficient 12V lighting throughout. Rear access storage was large enough for the customers portable marquee which was needed for family outings and ease of access to empty the toilet.
