After I bought a new 2021 Toyota Hiace, I started my quest to find someone to do my conversion. This took me all around Hervey Bay, Brisbane and Ballina. My initial excitement turned into frustration and fear as it was confusing not knowing who to trust and was prepared to start my work for 1 to 2 years. Through a RV magazine I contacted a fellow Hiace owner, and he suggested Oz Caravan World at Brendale. I met with them the following week and was really impressed by their knowledge, friendly approach, and willingness to help. The team at Oz Caravan World, guided me with the design of the van, showing me options and guiding me through what could be done. Selecting colours, appliances, fittings etc was so easy in their display centre which had on display a bunch of option. Throughout the conversion, they kept sending me photos and allowed me to visit 4 times to see the progress and chat to them. There was nothing that they wouldn’t do which was so relieving. We bought a caravan renovation with the grand intention of renovating it ourselves. It became apparent very quickly that the quality and workmanship of our renovation was outside of our skillset. We spoke with 3 other caravan repairers/renovating companies and after meeting Oz Caravan World, it was obvious that they could meet our objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. During our initial meetings with the Oz Caravan World team, we established a plan to maintain the unique characteristics of this model of caravan, which was important to us, whilst achieving a modernised look. This process was enjoyable for us and encouraging. The team at Oz Caravan World provided the knowledge, expertise, and comfort that their technicians were able to design, build and complete our renovation in an exceptional way which in fact was greater than we could have possibly imagined.

Claude and the Team at Oz Caravan World took on the challenge to renovate our Caravan. We met with a list of wants and wishes. Claude worked with us and our budget to maximize what we could do and we are now very happy customers. We liked our van before, now we love it! Claude kept us updated throughout the process and was happy for drop ins to see progress and see any issues that were uncovered along the way. Our van was finished ahead of schedule which was a nice bonus. We had multiple additional power points 12v, USB, GPO and Andersons installed, some interior and exterior placed in more convenient locations. Sirocco fans, bedside lighting, updating water pipes, replacing legs on the van, upholstery, re-sealing and our biggest want a King side bed with storage underneath. We are extremely happy with all the work and have just returned from our first trip and can say it is everything we imagined and more

After visiting the workshop and speaking to John from the service area we decided to go ahead with our renovation. He came up with solutions we hadn’t thought of.
